funky sushi is getting better. that, eating, service and the staff are great. we like to order a traditional and a funky plate, then we share. they also make the best pisco sour. if they love close to caldas and they sushi, it is worth visiting.

the first time here. we had the Fusão mixing plate for the take. really wonderful and surprisingly good. so that a restaurant is really recommended. we'll be back soon!
we have the last Saturday for lunch there. couples in a sightseeing trip. since the appetizers (besides of laughter and ghyosas, the apples are unusable) to the mainsushi, everything was top level. the personal is very friendly with a good mood. when the desserts arrived. God, it's a must!
that one of the best sushi restaurants in portugal is located in caldas da rainha. my coment is: after this dinner it is worth eating here! a week
has been here several times and eating was always excellent. Unfortunately, the menu has changed during our last lunch. the previous midday special included miso suppe, and a large rice roll (body remember the names), and pieces of...sushi and I think a drink. the updated menu now has the same price for the lunch menu, but only pieces sushi is not a drink, no suppe. very disappointing. for the first time we went hungry. service as always was pleasant and beautiful. Now maybe before it was something too much, I understand the need of cost control and in the position to generate a profit. but we really feel that this change and reduction went too far. I hope this is constructive that we have always enjoyed each other here. but the value at this point is now significantly reduced.
Second visit to funky sushi and we must admit the great atmosphere, service and quality. The sushi and sashimi combo is very fresh and tasty, the service is very pleasant and friendly and the setting is amazing. We highly recomend this place.
We loved the sushi, so tasty and fresh. There was a particular that came with an egg inside- amazing! We loved the service, friendly and kind. We loved the music, funky indeed. One but- sore butts, the benches are not ideal for a relaxing and...slow dining experience. Some more comfortable chairs would be perfect.
Visited Enjoyed the meal although I have to say the sushi is nowhere near as good as Kabuki in Caldas. Yes I would go back , BUT I do not enjoy sitting on rock hard stools to eat my sushi; might be ok for students...etc but the prices are a bit above student pockets in Funky Sushi... They would do well to get some decent seating...
