Degust'ar

Most of the dishes were uninspired and didn't have a lot of flavor. The desserts really elevated their rating, along with a very good wine pairing. My husband had the larger number of courses (adding duck and octopus) vs my smaller pairing courses Service was very slow initially, then picked up as the evening went on. We were there hours, and did not feel like extending it anymore in an otherwise empty restaurant by ordering coffee. Both the scallops and veal loin were dry, and there weren't any sauces to help. Final rating would be stars.

expects better from the tasting menu and wine pairing. Eat was okay, but ducks and skalopps were both dry. unimaginative sauces and aromes. Spouse added almost to every salty dish salt, which never happened service began horribly slow, but improved. server were friendly and accurate, but the tasting/pair of the last night in origens was simply better. the lunch in abadia was also better, and the Friday meal at bon bon in algarve was in a completely different world (like pricier).

A quiet night at this restaurant so not the best atmosphere perhaps. The tasting menu, with a focus on local produce was very good however. The wine pairing was great value.

Degust’ar unfortunately disappointed us although I have no doubt it was once a beautiful restaurant. The food was below average, in some instances cold. The service was good except for taking a while to bring out our entrees. We would not go to this restaurant again.
