excellent service and good food.

Would have liked to try the food, but unfortunately after making a reservation for on a Friday, we had to find our own way into the restaurant, as there was no host on the door. The waitress seemed surprised anyone had turned up. She sat us down, then moved us to another table in the empty room, and then we were totally ignored for the next minutes by three different waiting staff, while the only other table, of two, who arrived after us, had received their wine and had their order taken. We left after the third waiter had walked right past our table without acknowledging us, and I don't think anyone even noticed....

Place has an amazing view and looks gorgeously well put together. Since it was saturday, brunch was the lunch option and, at the start, the food was really tasty and well put together. Some pieces would have been better if served warm but, nevertheless, they were quite delicious. We ordered secretos de porco for a side dish that had a good flavour together with some ovos mexidos that had a really bland taste unfortunately. When it came to try a few desserts, we felt that the portions were a bit too much for what was served. Chocolate cake was a bit over the edge and could have been better if it was only half the size. A yogurt cake was bland, hard and gave the impression that it was not fresh at all. A circular tart was the best part of the dessert course. It was a mix of sweet and salty parts, together with nuts and a soft touch of apples in the flavour. It just felt amazing and compensated the disappointment of the other two PS: If trying the brunch for the first time, be sure to pick one croissant. They were, by far, the best part overall, for me at least. Really tasty and on point! Which can be rare to find nowadays.

Wonderful food and fabulous view. The lunch menu é is very reasonably priced. Food quality was excellent. We will definitely return. The hotel lobby and bar are also beautifully designed.

delicious saturday brunch with tasteful appetizers and entrees. the large windows and the deck have improved the relaxed and refined ambiente. really loved that they can get brunch on the terrace, the view of the river is amazing. the personal was very professional and accommodating. I love my usual omelet. the kohlsalate and crèmes brûlées were wonderful, kuddos to the chef, I am definitiw back! overall one of the better brunch spots in porto.

we stayed in the torel avantgarde, the hotel where the restaurant is located, so we were comfortable to go there. we did not even research the restaurant before we left, we just gave it a jump and we were not disappointed. the personal is very friendly and polite, marta even took the time to give us a lot of recommendations about the opposite. the food was excellent, so was the wine and the view of the city porto is breathtaking (on the day and in the night). we also sat there a few times for a drink that were also very well made I even ordered something outside the menu and it tasted great!

perfect hidden place on one of the hills of porto with a breathtaking view of the douro. especially the calender brunch is a good choice. we had the pleasure of having a sunny place on the balcony. buffet is wonderful as it serves Portuguese delicacies and the kitchen is excellent. the wine is good and the service is very at point (thanks to hero). a great and carefree start for a sunny Saturday. bom dia!
