This restaurant is located on an upper open deck, with great views of the esplanade & sea. A good location. It was clean and well laid out, and the manager was very quick to serve us. However, we only wanted a small lunchtime meal, but he really tried to push larger, more expensive meals upon us, which we resisted. He finally offered a smaller meal at a good price (mixed seafood in rice @ €15.99 for the two of us) The meal was 'OK', but nothing special, as there were about 4 small prawns, 4 medium mussels, and a chopped fish stick. The rest was rice. Within two hours of eating, we both had stomach pains, which later developed into full-on diarrhoea. We had no other food that day, so the only culprit can be this restaurant. Not happy with this at all.

Late lunch on Mayday holiday Monday sadly the nearby Grill Muralha Terrace (which is very good ) is closed on Monday .Both starters were the wrong dish , mine limpets instead of mussels , my wife's grilled calamari turned out to be prawns with garlic.I kept the limpets which were chewy but quite tasty . The calamari replacement took some. 20 minutes and when it arrived it was deep fried in rather heavy soggy batter."Por Favor is this grilled calamari ?" Oh no that is our fried calamari what did you order?..OK let's move on to main courses - both pork one kebab and one chops both served Dry, & Crusty cooked to destruction .. Probably cooked all the time we awaited the starter correction - these were barely edible . The chips were OK as they should be for 3.50 euros , the mixed salad correct but nothing special for 4.0 euros.We did not stay for any further punishment and will not return.On the other hand the Grill Muralha has served us a very enjoyable meal in pleasant surroundings for little more than the appalling Don Luis experience.I have no connection with either restaurant other than as a walk in customer.
Visitei este espaço a uns anos atrás e foi delicioso, este ano voltei lá, outros donos do restaurante e foi terrível!!! apesar do espaço ser agradável, o jantar preço/qualidade não foi nada de especial. Aliás pelo preço esperávamos muito melhor. Os meus amigos pediram espetada, veio seca quando pediram mal passada. Os legumes não eram frescos. Eu pedi um prato vegetariano, que apesar de não estar no menu, tiveram a gentileza de fazer. Mais uma decepção pelo preço de quase 9€, um prato vegetariano com legumes que não eram frescos, cogumelos enlatados, milho enlatado...nada bom. Existem melhores restaurantes na zona.

We had lunch here. Waiters were cranky and unfriendly. Couldn't speak a word English besides yes/no. The place is an upgraded snack bar. We had a long wait for our calamares, that was not worth the wait. When the check came they charged us a more expensive squid dish, that we had to correct ourselves. All together a bad experience and we would recommend another place to eat. Also, the city isn't worth the trip.
stopped here for lunch and had a pleasant surprise at the selection on offer. The seafood platter is excellent and very good value and very fresh.
Sauberes und sehr reichhaltiges Essen. Vorsicht, wenn Sie es nicht vertragen. Sehr nette aufmerksame Bedienung. Schäze: Familienunternehmen!
O bolo do caco com manteiga de alho é espetacular. As pizzas estão dentro do normal...a vista da esplanada é espetacular só foi pena estar a chover...
