The restaurant has a good atmosphere and the decor is very pretty. Despite this the food did not match what we were expecting. We asked sushi for our dinner and it took more than an hour to get to the table. The waiter did not give us any explanation about the delay, we had to call him and ask for an explanation and he replied that the sushi man was very busy so we needed to wait just a couple of minutes. None of this would matter if the sushi was wonderful but wasn't the case. I found it a bit ordinary and because of this I think that the price is very high for the kind of food and service. I drank a soda and my boyfriend drank two beers and we paid more than 60€. The space, atmosphere and decoration are not everything.

Friendly and amazing food, and a good wine selection. From the rissoto to the rosbeef, all food is to be tried and appreciated. Recommend vividly!!!

We went with a group of friends from different countries for a lunch, in a routine already common in the group. It was our second time this restaurant, and we were expecting the same fancy and fashion ambiance we experienced about ten ears ago. D'Oliva change since that time and it is now a nice, not expensive place where one can go with a group of friends, even large groups , as the place is huge , although cosy. We, as all the others on table decided to eat the executive menu, composed but soup ( two different ones to choose) or salad, a main course, dessert and coffee. The vegetable soup was correct and as main course the choice could be veal with sauce and roasted patatoes or squids risotto. The risotto was fair, very warm, and the veal, which we didn't taste looked very nice. As a dessert our choice was the iced tarte, not fantastic. Staff very attentive and trying to be helpful. A good relation between the quality of food and the price (10€ for the executive menu). If nothing on the menu is of your interest, it is possible to choose " à la crate", with different prices.

Beautiful dining room, average food and a really arrogant, stuck up staff!! This place in not nearly as good as they THINK they are. The decor is really nice, the dining room is spacious which allows for some privacy but the food, ranging from the starters all the way to the desserts, although Nicely presented are at best average. The worse thing though is the staff. I've had meals in some amazing, upscale places all over the world and yet the most arrogant, stuck up staff I've encountered was at DOliva in Matosinhos(!!!!). You literally feel like they are doing you a favor in receiving you at the restaurant! Ridiculous!! Oh and for the record, when you ask someone to wait in your waiting room, turn on the lights, don't leave them in the dark!!!!You have better options is the area!!!

Nice place, with plenty of space and good decoration. But, at the really important things, the restaurant fails: We ask the fish and shrimps risotto and it was completely dry. The staff was slow, inefficient and unfriendly. The dessert was the best part of the meal but it wasn't enough to consider a good experience.

Since my last visit to this restaurant a LOT has changed for the better, the table Service was improved, nicer waiter Service , also the food was much better, i really like this restaurant to have dinner specially at friday's and saturday's , so i really hope this standards maintain

It is the second time that we go there to have lunch at a sunday ! In the first time the service was slow but acceptable ,but yesterday its was unbelievable . When we arrived at the restaurant 1/3 full. We order and they brought the starters in an acceptable time ,but after them we waited and waited and half an hour later we complained and only then the waiter went to the kitchen to see what was the problem !! The excuse was that they confused our order with another!!!! So we have the main dishes more than one hour after our order - note that all of them were easy to make (no more than 5-10min) !!! So if you like want to enjoy a meal with no stress don't go there !!
