We ate here last night. Both the waiter and the young waitress were friendly polite and helpful. We had garlic prawns and salad to start and had to stop ourselves mopping up the delicious smokey garlic sauce with the bread. We needed to save room for the fish platter suggested by the waiter. So glad we did because it was huge. We washed it down with a douro white also suggested by the waiter.So the food and service were great but here comes the best part. It was dusk and we had travelled from the contemporary art museum. I had worn just a light top as it was very hot during the day but now the air was considerably cooler. Seeing me shiver slightly the attentive waiter immediately offered me a blanket! Meaning I could finish dinner in complete comfort. What service on top of fabulous fresh fish cooked to perfection. A wonderful restaurant with excellent food and a lovely vibe. Go there!

The restaurant offers varied dishes of fish, portions and whole fish. As a rule, all cooked on the grill. Very fresh and tasty. Appetizers of fish and meat, several soups. The only, but big drawback - the work of the waiters, who sometimes just ignore you, You have to ask several times about the same.

We landed at Porto airport and by the time we had got our bags and rental car it was 9.30 pm. It would be too late to eat at our hotel 90 mins drive away. The charming rentals guy recommended Matosinhos where there is a street of restaurants that grill the fish outside on the pavement. We picked this one and had a really delicious meal - grilled sardines served with perfectly cooked garlicky new potatoes and salad then seafood rice. Friendly people, delicious pale sangria and wonderful olives too. What's not to like?

minutes to make an order and minutes to get the average food and not a low budget. At the same street you get much better service and food, namely São Valentim and Fernando

The restaurant was very good. The fish was super fresh and very well prepare. The personal is very friendly. Very recommended

Don't miss this gem the food is amazing, the owner (Alexander) takes the time to explain everything, and the wait staff are beyond expectations!! The elderly waiter who seemed gruff since he couldn't find us a seat at first, turned out to be the...most caring gentleman (he ran to our Uber, made it wait a few minutes, ran inside to get a creme brûlée since my wife mentioned in passing as we were leaving that she would have liked to try it and made sure we enjoyed it peacefully, and all for free since we had already paid)!! We were there at lunch, had to wait minutes and almost missed a tremendous experience in our impatience. But Alexander took the time to show me the various fresh fish, explained the characteristics of each, helped us pick, and we had a most divine lunch. The sea bream is moist and flavorful. The sardines to die for. Alexander kept sending little things to try that we had not ordered it was lovely! The wine was great and the price not bad at all! I will be back with all my local friends

The sun was shining, the skies were blue, the air was clean, the fish was delicious (dorado), the potatoes were yummy, and the wine fresh and wonderful. The waiter was friendly and we even got help in ordering wine from a Portuguese customer. Worth euro (each way) Uber from central city Porto. Nice to get away from the crowds, although those are small at this time of year
