I visited this cosy restaurant several times on my solo trip to Portugal. I can’t express enough how lovely and welcoming the staff are here, especially George, who made a special effort to ensure I was happy and settled. He even introduced me to some customers so I could start conversations with people once I sat down. The food is traditional Portuguese and is great comfort food. I would highly recommend the steak as a main dish and they also do some lovely shellfish starters such as garlic prawns or clams. They also have some great selections of desserts. I could suggest you go for one of the homemade ones. The tiramisu is lovely and also the traditional Algarvian style pie is great. Thank you once again to all of the staff at Donaldo’s for making my trip extra special. I would recommend this place to anyone regardless of whether they are travelling solo, in a couple or with their family.

we had a nice meal at donaldos. it was our high-time day and the staff went beyond and beyond to make it a special occasion for us! we will definitely eat here again and recommend the amazing delicious food. the atmosphere was good, the choice of the food was perfect and we cannot wait to come back! thanks to all the staff at donaldo.
