the situation is excellent, the expectations were high. we chose the menu with 4 set. amuse bouche was in order; nothing unusual though. then, for each person a piece brot, a few cracker, and some dives mostly delicious, but the erdnus butter should be better omitted. the starter with seafood was original and good. then, a small piece of mönchen, but almost no beside dishes, more brot was also not offered. next, the waiter asked if we wanted to dessert. asking what the alternative would be, he said we could also switch to the larger menu. we chose the smaller menu and dessert was served. that was really disappointing, the aromen were not well balanced, a mixture of too sweet and too salty. we had many delicious desserts in portugal, that was by far the worst. when the bill came, we finally understood why the menu was called a surprise menu. the dessert was calculated extra. in the 4 dish menu, the amuse bouche and the disk of the brotes (one per person! were counted as a separate dish, and a high-charged dessert was added to the bill. there was no indication at all that the dessert was not included in the menu. a total lack of information in the menu card there is actually a surprise, and it is a very bad one. we were regularly in portugal, visited countless restaurants throughout the country, but had never had such bad experiences. the policy of this restaurant is completely unacceptable to absolutely avoid. it's a shame, because the environment is beautiful.

This restaurant was such a delight, the chef deserves a Michelin rosette. And how wonderful for a restaurant of this calibre to be in such a small village. The imagination of the menu was worthy of Paris' 8th arrondissement, as was the quality of the ingredients and the mastery and delicacy of the cooking,

Really a very nice and quiet restaurant to enjoy the pleasure and taste of the harmony of senses. Just amazing!

Naperon is reason alone to visit not just Odeceixe but the whole of Costa Vicentina. Give your tastebuds an education by dining here. Ignore the negative reviewers on here, they’re cuisine philistines.

We sat at a lovely table poolside, lovely warm evening in this small town. Both alternating staff were amazing and the chef/s came to our table several times explaining each dish making us feel so welcome. We had the full 7 course tasting menu. Everything was delicious, things I would be afraid to try (on paper and some I have not heard of. Some highlights Tuna ceviche in edible leaf(? , sea urchin empanadas, red pepper mouse with bacalhau, cornflaked prawns in tomato/watermelon gazpacho, pork, clam and corn dish, some sweets oh that delicate marshmallow square at the end ...... just some : Can't recommend this highly enough. LOVED it.
