I just had dinner at one of Cascais’s best seafood restaurants and ordered frozen seafood. Say what?Yes, I ordered frozen seafood. Let me explain. My visit to Mafra up north, has an enormous palace was built with gold from Brazil, reminded me that this little country was once one of the world’s great powers. The colonial empire included the African nation of Mozambique. Pescador, where I just ate, had a spicy shrimp dish (gamba tacho) from Mozambique, cooked with ginger, garlic, peppers, olive oil. The Mozambique shrimp were enormous, larger than large prawns. (Pescador also had a prawn dish from Mozambique, with the prawns as big as lobster The dish was terrific, a little spicy. The appetizer was carpaccio of tuna swordfish. Also wonderful, plated beautifully. (The darker tuna is hidden beneath the arugula.)Service was attentive professional. The only problem here was deciding among the different menu choices!

Fabulous authentic fish and sea food restaurant with excellent service. We ate a shellfish stew and fresh sea bream cooked a la Portugaise and each dish was outstanding
O Pescador is our favorite restaurant in Cascais. The staff is friendly and attentive and treat you like family. Their seafood is excellent and i particularly recommend the lobster soup. We think O Pescador provides good value for the quality of the food. You wont go wrong with a fine meal here!
This is without doubt the best fish restaurant in Cascais. The platter of mixed fish is a fish lover's dream come true. All cooked to perfection. Simply fantastic. Never fails to impress.
