Eu visitei na hora do almoço em um sábado em novembro. Enquanto a chuva tinha segurado, o dia não tinha uma sensação agradável para ele. Talvez seja por isso que, quando eu tinha acabado a minha refeição às 15h, mais ninguém tinha vindo jantar. Tripe no estilo do Porto foi escrito à mão no menu. O meio-serviço em 8 € foi enorme. Sua preparação e proporção de guloseimas entre os feijões brancos foi média para esta região do país. Foi perfeitamente bom, mas de forma alguma excelente. Os preços refletem o fato de que o restaurante se depara com o calçadão da praia e atrai muitos turistas, mas eles não eram estrangeiros Tudo o mais sobre a experiência era acima da média. A sala de jantar foi muito agradável, como foi o proprietário, que me serviu na mesa. O meu arranque de sopa de peixe, a 2,50 euros, excedeu as minhas expectativas por um pouco.

Located right to the sea side this restaurant offers lunch and dinners with a spectacular view. The menu contains all traditional seafood and wines of the region. However, the cook must have had a bad day: the cod was too much roasted, the potatoes accompanying old and wizened. The Arroz de Mariscos (Rice with Seafood) was based on cheap defrosted shrimps and mussels, well the portions were big. No problem, maybe we didn‘t pick a brilliant moment. However, the bill was a shock. We were charged almost double the amount we had payed in the neighbouring restaurant the evening before. Sorry, we won‘t come back here.

I made a trip down to espinho from Porto on saturday 7th april, purely to visit this fishing and town and try the food. It was after lunch hours and many restaurants were not serving food until 7pm, luckily Tasca da Maria was. I had the entire restuarant to my self and the full attention of the beautiful waitress. I ordered the grilled seabass and it was perfect. Big portion, fresh and full of flavor ! I wish i could go again ! The prices are very friendly, it was only between 9-12 euros for the seabass accompanied with potatoes and salad. Afterwards i tried the homemade dessert which was like a cheesecake and it too was great! I am very picky with food and in my culture I eat a lot of seafood, i was very impressed with this meal and Would 100% recommend. Note to potential customers, across most european countires you will be presented with some bread or olives as you sit down, these arent free and you will be charged for them if you eat it, so to avoid any surprise costs just turn them away if you dont want it.

Very kindly service. Good suggestions about available fresh fish. Good location in front of ocean. Good ratio price-quality. Good selection of local wines. Vinho verde must be tried with grilled fish

Had been recommended by friends to try a dish called Cataplana before leaving for our holiday so that's what we did here. While waiting the waiter brought out bread, a tuna dip with little Melba a Toast and some deep fried fish balls all very yummy. Cataplana arrived also very delicious but you need to be confident with fish as the stew comes with the whole fish including head. Nice selection of wine and drinks. Only downside was the surly waiter. Also, be aware that the snacks that appear on the table also appear on the bill this seems to be customery in Espinho

Beware we were served as part of the cover charge without asking !! Some prawns, bread, olives and tuna paste that came to €18!!! The food took forever and when it came we were not served our food together 2 of us began eating otherwise our food would have gotten cold the only redeeming thing about this place was the lovely and attentive waitress !!!
