Great food and large selection on menu. Portions are huge and you definitely need to be hungry. Very reasonably priced. Needless to say it is popular so prepare to queue if you turn up at a busy time.

We have been coming to Foz for 10+ years. We always make a point to visit Cafe Cafe, several times per trip, if not daily. Lovely people, friendly service. They do the best Pizza too. Pub is a hub is not an expression in Portugal but that is what Central Cafe is.
Having visited here on a number of occasions over several years, we were pleased to see that the quality is still as high. Both for lunch and dinner we could not find fault in the food, service and value. The shrimp curry is simply outstanding - just the right side of too hot, loaded with king prawns and to be honest plenty for 2 (although I did a pretty good job of eating it all myself). The staff are pleasant and helpful. You really can't visit Foz and not go to Cafe Central at least once (and if you go once you'll go again).
We dined here twice during our recent stay and have no complaints. The service is excellent and the food is amazing. We were treated to huge portions of well cooked, traditional Portuguese home cooked food at very decent prices. Stand out dishes were the shrimp curry, Angolan steak and the special pork dish.
Always great value for money, only eat here if your hungry, portions are huge, and of good quality, staff friendly and welcoming
A very well presented restaurant/cafe, split into two areas, depending on whether you require a snack or a meal. Portuguese are happy to eat here, which, for me, says it all. Good food, good choice of menu at affodable prices. Can be a little noisy sometimes, so not the place for a romantic dinner out.

Always busy and rightly so with great prices, huge portions, a varied menu and friend staff, Cafe Central is hard to beat. It's where I go when I feel like eating out, but it's not a special occasion. It's at the heart of the village and popular with both the local population and the visitors that come to Foz every summer. Very typical Portuguese food plus pizzas! What more could you want?
