the restaurant is so small that they can easily miss it when they go down the rua são bento of rato. but as soon as they enter into the interior they will realize that they have entered a culinary tempel. francisca and césar serve the most tasteful pizzas you can imagine and their sourdough weavers are among the best I have ever eaten (yes, even better than my own, there are only half a dozen pizzas on above, some of which vary depending on the season. the pizza bianca with mushrooms is for dying, as is (if available) the artichoke pizza. one of the usual desserts is of course broteis. superb! big weinlist and cesar can help them choose the right one for them. expect them to spend a bit more money than usual, but in the opposite you will get high-quality eating, wein and service. viva crouton!

O crouton serve comida de alta qualidade, não apenas pizzas fantásticas, mas também excelentes entradas e sorvetes e outras sobremesas de outro mundo. muito boa escolha de chorar também. ao lado da meia dúzia de pizzas, em permanente disponibilidade, há também duas ou três especiais. como (dependendo da época) pizza com alcachofras frescas ou com mel caramelizado. minha sobremesa preferida são os broteis, que vem acompanhados de um copo sauternes. para mim, nenhuma visita a Lisboa sem um jantar de crouton está completa.

jantar com crouton é uma obrigação quando estou em Lisboa. Ingredientes de primeira qualidade habilmente preparados quer sejam as entradas como o carpaccio de atum, as pizzas (naturais) ou o incrível sombrio. o menu de pizza consiste em cinco ou mais padrões, mais um ou mais. dois especiais. nesta oportunidade experimentei a pizza branca com tábua vermelha karamalizada e pecorino inventada por Francesca, era só para morrer. também a lista de choro é excelente, e cézar fica feliz em ajudá-los a escolher a lista certa. já reservei mesa para o próximo mês (o restaurante é muito pequeno, então reserve mesa com antecedência) e mal posso esperar para voltar!

nice eating here small menu, but delicious pizzas, tapas and one of the best desserts of all time. the owners were beautiful, the room was sweet and so happy that we ate our last night in lissabon.

we spend a few days in lissabon and we discovered this little place near our hotel. we have read many enthusiastic critikens about his pizza and from italy we came really curious about it. at the end, we are completely in agreement, everything... really good and even better than many pizzas ate in our country. tiny pizza with crispy edge, mix some styles. well selected ingrediants, the pesto we tasted as a starter, was also really good. there is a research behind the plates and they can feel it. they can also choose some interesting weine if they want to enrich their pizza gourmet dinner. so, it's a really nice hidden corner they should try if they are looking for a pizza experience, but not the one that she could find in the rule in many Italian restaurants in portugal!

Always happy to return to Cézar and Francesca’s culinary temple, Crouton. As soon as you open the door you are enchanted by the smell of freshly baked sourdough bread. This first impression is topped by the flavours of their pizzas and the mostly organic wines....In case you still have space or simply the desire for dessert, you’ll be in heaven after the first spoonful of bread ! ice-cream or creme brûlée with real vanilla. We can’t wait to be back...

Great evening, with delicious pizza made using local ingredients. Super friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
