nice pastalaria to have a coffee, pastry or lunch looking over the Convento square. good price/ kwality ratio. big choice of pastry and bread. friendly ladies that serve and prepare food. you receive a magnetic-strip card with your purchase on it and pay at the central counter. when the weather is good (most of the time) you can sit outside - coffee is more expensive on the terrace.

we were not sure how it seemed to be a bakery and I wanted some meeresfruit. but the waitress (it was her first day) spoke great English and when I said that the main fish shell (turned in the table) would be too heavy for a hot afternoon, she suggested dorado instead. it was perfect. we also had an appetizer of cheese and brot with some olives. perfect with the white wine. my friend is vegan and rejoiced over the salat where they can choose from the options for an salat. we found it a perfect lunch. I'm sorry I only photographed the fish when he was done, you can see that I liked him.

came here for coffee n kuchen with my sister and I can not praise this place all the higher 2 pieces pie coffee n a can for 5.50 I will be back when I next visit my sister took age to choose the cake look amazing...you will not be disappointed

beautiful terrace, nice and fresh cake, wonderful service, although only counters operate and need to serve a ticket, have not tried the restaurant, but for what I was served in the terrace series, I assume that is also of good quality, close. the chandelier of mafra with a few seats outside (weather guide) it worth visiting

This cute little place is located just 5min away from the main castle square. Very affordable, good food, big portions. They are normally serving few daily dishes. We went for a small portion of octopus which was delicious. Also great cappuccino, which is rare in...Portugal with two sizes of nata (for those on a diet!
