Absolutamente fantástico! Estivemos lá três vezes durante nossas duas semanas em Tavira e foram surpreendidos todas as vezes. Tivemos o especial de hoje e foi comida portuguesa genuína. Bom serviço, muitos convidados, tivemos que esperar um pouco por uma mesa, mas não por muito tempo. Voltaremos!

It was absolutely packed so we tried to book but they don't take bookings. We went along early the following evening and got a table easily. Three of us had the sea bass and one had the pork. It looks very basic in the restaurant, but the service is very good and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It was also very reasonably priced. We could see why it's so popular every night.

Understated restaurant on the river. Don’t let the cheap plastic chairs fool you, the food is fantastic with very fresh decently priced seafood. Sea bass and squid were delicious. I’d go back again

Typical portugues restaurant with good fish and meat. Also with nice terrace next to the river with old romana bridge. Service could be better

Quase não importava o quão boa era a comida, sentada fora ao lado do rio e velha ponte, com uma vista em frente à famosa torre do relógio. Pode ter sido considerado romântico se o serviço tivesse sido menos brisk e mais pessoal. As porções alimentares eram grandes e a qualidade muito decente. No entanto, dificilmente tínhamos começado a nossa salada primeiro curso quando o peixe chegou, tornando difícil obter tudo na pequena mesa. Tínhamos terminado a refeição, pago e não deixou mais do que 45 minutos depois de chegar bastante apressado. O vinho tinto da casa era barato e eminentemente bebível. Só em dinheiro.

Can`t really complain but there is an air of sluggishness around this establishment. Called here for a quick lunch one day and not certain yet whether staff were pleased to see us or not but when you did get their attention they reacted fairly well. Food average, Sangria average but could not put you off giving it a try as we may have picked one of those days !!

Four of us called in for dinner having been there many times before but some years ago. Fast helpful service by two waitresses and we went strait away with ordering our main courses, two half bottles of wine, a beer and a large sin gas bottle of water. Food arrived reasonably quickly and it was nice to see the large salad and special rice we had ordered to share, on separate dishes in the middle of the table. The grilled pork and roast chicken that we ordered was well cooked and delicious. Only poor point was the plate of chips which were from frozen and were a bit dry and tasteless. There was no sweet menu to choose from and the waitress told us there were only three puddings available. None of us liked the three choices and we asked for ice cream only to be told they had none. We decided just to pay the bill, which was reasonable, and went round the corner into Bishops Square to have drinks, coffees and ice creams. A great night out but restaurant will need to improve a bit as there are now so many new restaurants in Tavira
