Once a year, when we go back to Portugal, we always go to Matosinhos to eat fresh fish and seafood.As expected, we have our favourites and Mariazinha is one of them.Located away from the bustling of the Av. Serpa Pinto, this restaurant has enough parking places available.The restaurant is in a residential building, occupying the ground and first floors.We always have the crab, boiled in salted water and the insides prepared with a cocktail sauce. As main we prefer the monkfish rice. We also enjoy the cod fish fritters as starters. To help gulp down the dinner we drink the house "vinho verde".Food is always delicious and very consistently well prepared.Service is always friendly and attentive without being intrusive.

Went to this Restaurant because of the good reviews it has but the only good thing was really the low price , it combines with the low quality of the dishes and the service. The lady at the counter was mostly interested in maintaining the conversation with someone rather than taking care of the costumers and the overall service. The food , roasted turkey, was really dried and without any flavor. Don't recommend .
At lunch this restaurante has a very reasonable price for a complete menu. Soup; main dish, dessert, water or a glass of house wine for € 10.00 The food is not great, but the price versus quality is acceptable
I have been there twice and the food was delicious. Fresh sea food, nice taste we had a lobster. This was someting amazing. The prawns were fresh and crispy to. The serive is nice and able to tell more about the food. I recommend the place.
After reading some trip advisor reviews I've decided to try it. Week day dinner, not crowded and after a great Douro River cruise. Nice staff and cosy dinning room. Quality ingredients used to make a great fish rice with shrimps (arroz de tamboril com gambas) and a nice Douro white wine (Planalto). With coffee and desert the final price was a nice surprise.
Mariazinha is a little restaurant in Matosinhos, with a nice employee, great Matosinhos "tapas" as "tripas enfarinhadas", "sardinhas", pimentos pardon", "camarão" and the best tomato rice I ever taste. Not expensive, about 15€/meal, depending of the drink you want. Taste also the "Alto Lixa verde branco" wine !
Supposedly a seafood place, serves a great chicken (Cabidela, the one made with blood, a Portuguese delicacy) and offers a very nice wine list. Highly recommended
