We were told about this place by friends, who invited us and we pr ordered a Fish Cataplana a couple days in advanced. the Cafe does not look much from the outside and you could easy walk passed the place thinking it is just another street cafe. Well you would be missing out as they offer a daily Prata da dia (Dish of the Day) and they are just as good and great value, however on this occasion as we had pre-ordred the Cataplana. Well the large domed stainless steel dish arrived on the table and when the lid was popped open the smell just hit you with the aroma of the Algarve at its best. This was a true Cataplana full of fish and prawns and not a crab-stick in sight thank goodness unlike some poor examples we had had in the past at other so called well known places. served with boiled Potatoes was all you needed to enjoy the flavor of the juices from the Cataplana, that and a cold white wine it was a real dish from heaven. The portion was so large we all went back for seconds and even thirds and there was still plenty left which was put in a foil takeaway container. The staff were so attentive and pleasant even the chef came out and asked if it was OK, all our faces showed how much we enjoyed the meal and all five of us agreed it was one of the best Cataplana's we had tasted and I have eaten well over 40-50 in my time.

Lovely cafe with great outdoor seating near the river.Have had coffee here with friend several times and we are always made to feel very welcome. Also eaten the set lunch here which was very good and good value and will definately go back.Service is very attentive

We were drawn to this cafe by the board outside, we chose the roast pork which was absolutely delicious, it came with potatoes and salad, bread, olives and rosemary carrots which were also lovely, and all for 7 euros , we did indulge in a few carafes of red wine and coffees and then the owner gave us a local liqueur, this cafe is located opposite the tourist information office, the staff were brilliant as was the owner, will definitely go here again

This was a pleasant little café, very popular with locals. It is also very convenient for the bus stops and the main taxi rank, particularly when needing to get a taxi to Silves rail station. An Americano was only compared to the charged...in one other place in Silves. Service was prompt despite is being very busy with locals.

Stopped for a tosta mista and coffee for me and a coffee and arroz doce {sweet rice pudding} for my husband. The café was busy but our food and coffee arrived quickly. Great prices we only paid Friendly staff too.

A lovely coffee shop with a varied menu. Whether it is a snack, cake or lunch it is well worth a visit. They offer a dish of the day for euros this includes main meal, sweet,drink and coffee.
