We had a lovely meal at Terreiro while staying at the nearby Pestana Casino. We chose a table overlooking the open kitchen and it was fascinating to see the way in which the head chef and his staff managed the delivery of each dish. No dish left without being inspected and finished by the head chef. We chose the chateaubriand which was excellent. Top notch Aberdeen Angus beef cooked to perfection, perhaps just a half measure underdone but all the same, fantastic. The restaurant is set in a beautiful period property with indoor, outdoor and terrace seating options. Furniture, decor etc very up-market. All in all, a really great experience for us, I have no idea why this restaurant has some average reviews. For us it was the best dinner we had in Funchal- so it’s a

A decent meal for our party of but marred by forgetting completely one persons order. It meant we all had finished by the time the overlooked order arrived. It happened to be that persons birthday celebration. There were a number of other oversights and mistakes and a general lack of attentiveness.
Excellent cocktail bar better than the nearby hotels Need to lose the sport tv though. Upstairs, an equally excellent restaurant. Great food and good value.
The food was very good and plentiful. The staff was very pleasant and friendly.
Superb customer service all staff had extensive customer service training and served us with a smile on every meal. The food was excellent, perfect flavours and temperature, with the portions sizeable. The Michelin Guide better add them quickly!
Nice atmosphere, but food and service are not the best. But it is quite beautiful inside and out, worth to try the brunch offers. They are not dog-friendly, even though it is a garden, so only go pooch-free.

Not as food as when Otto ran the place but the bar staff are amazing !!! That’s Fabio big and Fabio small ???? food amazing as usual keep up the good work ????????????????
