Restaurante A Sardinha

we visited this restaurant on Monday evening most restaurants were closed in the local environment, but this restaurant was absolutely packed out of very good ground, eating was highly recommended the seafood! Lachs-snell was cooked well, my man had a psychic. that was just as good! good service reasonable. worth a visit.

I look forward to visiting this restaurant, quickly on an outside table. the restaurant soon became full, the people wanted to sit a table or stand opposite the restaurant to be called by the owner, watching the people eat outside and avoid being met...by cars driving on the narrow road! 2 meals ordered, my meal came after a short wait I decided to make a start because it was only warm, asked twice where the other meal was, his coming, finished mine and finally 2nd meal arrived, teller and drinks baked to over or through the table next to us, very bad service, avoid this place at wochenende and celebrated.

avoid the “tourist menu” we had the tourist menu, they did not serve the brot that was included. the fish soup did not include fish, only noodles. the heavy fish was a bit overdue, but the neighboring vegetables were beautiful. the desert should be chocolate ice cream, but they just served a cup of ice from the cooler. like the ones they buy in the super market) at the end we had an espresso that was good and strong. price 12.5 euro/ pers. incl. a glass house wine. Last week when we were there, we had a fish stew who was nice. we had the wine of the month. approximate price 22 euro/ pers

Finding locals seated in a restaurant is usually a good sign if you want to try an authentic local cuisine and this was the case indeed. We enjoyed a well prepared Sunday meal seated at the terrace of Sardinha, at the center of Peniche. Both...fish- and meat-based dishes were quite tasty. It is worth stopping by for its fresh food for sure but be aware that the staff doesn't speak English and expect a basic service.

We had the fish Cataplana, recommended to us by the waiter. It was very good and a complete dish, we were really satisfied. Also the wine, chosen by the waiter for us, was very good and had great quality price.

We came across Sardinha by chance as it is one block back from the front, where most of the restaurants are. On a Sunday lunch it was packed with a big queue so we returned and sat outside. Sardines for 3 of us to start...followed by mixed grilled fish; squid and seafood tagliatelle all great. Really attentive service with wine recommendations. Very strong on the Covid19 precautions. We reserved for 7.30 and by 8.30 there was a sizeable queue. Came back a couple of days later and the steak my son had was not so successful (stick to fish and Octopus (big portion could have been hotter. However, 5 stars because price/value, service, food all together across two nights were on balance better than everywhere else we went. Best reserve a table!

Decent service, decent prices, good location and decent food. Food could be a little more tasty, but overall it was pretty good....
