Lapa Bay

very interesting, but badly executed. the service might have been great, the waiters made it impossible to maintain it, but they were really understated. only 3 people who manage about 30 tables cash! they ran on, we felt that they did the impossible, but of course could not deliver on the level they would expect for this type of space. probably also kitchen suffered the same problem, so eating that was kreatiw ended briefly. everything in all the lapa bay has the right potential, but need a larger staff.

restaurant is part of 4stars hotel and ambiente is beautiful and welcoming. during our dinner there was a live music performance in the lobby area, which was very loud, so we could hardly talk. the food came very quickly both beginning and main dish, but my sweet salad was only cut ground vegetables not mixed, no dressing or seasoning, two large cubes tofu. the other court we had was smoked fish, which was well prepared, but gnocci were airplane (if had been with crumbling) and they were undercooked. service in restaurant seemed like confused not to ask about quality of food, brought first drinks arrived after the starter etc. as they did not check us after the main dish, no offer of drinks, desert, we simply went to pay directly. unfortunatelly dissapointing experience

Delicious, creative food; very attentive and professional service. Fresh and hearty lapas, delicious Beetroot pasta and vegetarian risotto. The staff is always friendly and polite and tries to address all requests. A good balance between quality and innovation with a fair price. We will return!

The food was very good. You need more staff here because the one guy does everything. We know staff is a problem right now. The lighting needs to be adjusted down, so it does not feel like a cafeteria.

Great restaurant, great staff, great food. We would have loved some time in between thé starters and the first cours. But thé rest of the dinner made up of it.

A surprisingly varied menu with a seafood focus, and a chef more than happy to adapt dishes for allergies etc. I had a delightful mixed seafood (prawns, scallops, and limpets) starter with some well-considered seaweed style salad which lifted the whole dish well. “Surf and turf” was tender steak, perfectly cooked white fish, and a few more limpets, with a lovely sweet potato mash the chef provided instead of the default which contained dairy. The restaurant is light and airy, and very quiet when we visited for a mid-afternoon Sunday lunch. We will definitely be returning.
