We went last night at the recommendation of our hotel’s concierge as this was our first night in Madeira. When asked where would you eat with your family she said here. That’s good enough for me. The service was very friendly, helpful and courteous. The food great. LARGE portions. I asked for their squid main as an appetiser. My wife the Black Iberian ham and melon. I continued that theme with their Black Iberian pork main course; she had a red snapper. All excellent. I also sought their recommendation on which of their Alentejo red wines I should choose. His choice was only a bottle and it was excellent. We liked it so much we plan to return before we go home.

we tried this place to make a pizza dinner of an evening. good choice of toppings, good value and very nice eating.
a great meal in an authentic local restaurant, exceptional friendly service, with great food, what more can they demand. I had a local court of scabbard with banana, and while it sounds strange, somehow it works. the local rose was exactly as we like it, dry and fruity, as recommended by our waiter, and much cheaper than we paid for wein in our hotel. it is located at the entrance to the cliff bay, so if you stay there, or other hotels this site of funchal, I would recommend it for a night outside of hotel dinners.
that is a nice restaurant with some pretty Portuguese flowing, and eating is ok, but the service was brusque and offhand to be honest. it was also quite empty, but that could only be due to it being february.
Fui almoçar e finalmente encontrou em algum lugar com bifes de atum, em curto abastecimento na ilha. Bom cozinhado. Belos pratos, serviço formal, terraço tranquilo e ensolarado.
Sentimos este restaurante iluminado tofeldig e fralda agradavelmente surpreendido. Instalações cósmicas, serviço de topp e bom tapete. O meu prato principal era gengibre como um crumble utmerket. O Sausen era o melhor dos pimentões que comi. Samboer odiava um fisherett como ela era ungida com. Eles odiavam várias variantes de pratos de lagosta como uma tentada, mas fica bem-aventurança em uma ocasião.
Overall we had an enjoyable meal of grilled prawns, and steak in pepper sauce. Crepes Suzette were expensive at €18 for one serving and poorly executed. That, and covert upsell moves for starters and sides by staff left a poor taste to an otherwise good meal.
What a find, the building doesn’t look amazing from the kerbside, but don’t let that put you off. The food was stunning
