our last meal on madeira would not have chosen a better restaurant. it is our first time away with a 5mo baby so always try a little tense new place. the personal was welcoming and attentive when the baby (aboveable) woke up and the food and wine pairings were unpretentious: only that waits until our last night to try it! prawns and snapper were divine, the salmon and otopus were tasteful and the wee was delicious. fantastic end of a wonderful week!

absolutely beautiful service we are vegan and the chef went out of his way to make some appetizers that were not on the menu specifically for us. we also had the tasty bites of live music in the evening, which was nice!
a great restaurant hidden in the castanheiro hotel, which serves good dining. the fish was fresh and well prepared. the personal felt as if they had tried. there were local restaurants that trusted that this was a good place to eat.
this restaurant deserves its high ratings as it has a great menu that is delivered competently by an amazing cook. the vegetarian choices were many who allowed everyone in our party to enjoy the excellent creations of the chef.
There was a large party so when we ordered the staff forgot to tell the chef what main courses we had ordered. We then waited 30 minutes to get the QR code for access the dessert menu. Surprising service for such a wonderful restaurant.Also very loud and raucous due to guests playing secret Santa!!
What a great experience. The service was very friendly and super efficient and the dishes exceeded our expectations. The goats cheese starter was beautifully balanced, awesome flavours and textures and the presentation a mini work of art. The rest of our dishes were also extremely good as was the recommended local wine.
Fantastic staff, interesting menu and good wine. No complaints at all just not quite as good as other places we’ve eaten this week.
A modern looking space without being stark. Very efficient formal service, the chef de rang was knowledgeable and attentive without intrusion. Food service was prompt and the quality was exceptional. The menu caterers well for vegetarians. Top end price for the island bur still affordable.
